- A terrain radar that provides pitch-rate error signals to a command indicator for manual control of aircraft in the pitch axis. The resultant flight path aims to parallel or follow the terrain at a height setting that is adjustable in flight.Presentation of non-scanning radar as used in terrain avoidance radar. Aircraft maintains pre-set height and warning of obstructions which are at a pre-set slant range away is indicated as shown above.
